We were super impressed, what an incredible escape game! From the very beginning, the support was great. We got good advice on which game to choose, and it turned out to be a total success.
At first, I was a bit worried it might be too difficult, but that fear was completely unfounded. We played it as part of an offsite event for a consultancy, split into 7 teams with 4-5 people each, and had the teams compete against each other. It was a real head-to-head race! After almost two hours, one group finally solved the puzzle and claimed victory.
The game itself is quite challenging, but once you get into it, it’s incredibly smart and cleverly designed. We had so many “aha!” moments; everyone was fully engaged and having a great time. From juniors to partners, every single person was involved, motivated, and laughing.
The only small downside was the setup: since we had to prepare the game seven times (cutting, gluing, etc.), it took two of us several hours over a few days. But honestly, it was absolutely worth it and the final result looked fantastic.
Huge thanks to the creators. You can really tell how much thought and effort went into developing this. It’s impressive. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone! All my colleagues even noted down your name afterwards.
Cheers and greetings from Berlin!
It was a great adventure! I used boxes and 4 digit locks, my kids enjoyed the mistery, curious how all this will end. I had a little pre- work whit the text, because I had to translate to hungarian, but I think the result it was pretty good. I already purchased the Christmas and the Easter adventure, hope will be fun too! Thank you!
First off, I emailed the company and wow! I truly felt like a had a friend and a cheerleader!I was blown away by the encouragement and recommendations I received from Robert! Thank you for that. On to the game itself, I went through the game and split the 10 puzzles among 5 parents, because there was less time than the recommended I only required 8 of the 10 be done and I let the kids know which ones would take a little extra time. Most kids got done in 20 minutes, now this was with the help of the five amazing parents that helped me. Oh, this was for fifth graders. They were engaged the whole time it was awesome! The only thing I might suggest is chapter or puzzle 5 was hard to read printed off so I just typed up what it said beside it, but if that could be more easily read when printed off, it would be the cherry on top!
My students loved it!
Fantastic idea.
Put together well.
Even on plain printer paper it held up perfectly.
Good level of challenge on the puzzles.
Puzzle #1 we were able to figure out. Puzzle #2 though was more difficult for us. Until we understood the position of the cube sides did the solution make sense. All the clues where available for us, we just didn't see it at first. I can see how the game designers put a lot of effort and thought into each puzzle.
Thank you for your feedback, Kat — we’re really glad we could help clarify Puzzle #2 through the video walkthrough we sent you. Once the cube is positioned correctly, the logic behind the puzzle falls into place perfectly.
We always strive to make sure every player fully understands our games and gets the best support possible. Your updated thoughts mean a lot to us — and we’re happy you could see the design and effort that went into The Box.
Love these games!! So much fun and even the person who puts it together can play!
We loved this game for our kids cabin styled birthday party!! It was longer than expected which was a nice surprise but just take that into account if you do want to have it at an event it takes center stage!
Really pleased with this download. It was easy to print and assemble. Have put this together for Grandparent's Advent calendar we make each year. My 10 year old son loved testing it, so much so, that I am about to order more escape rooms for his birthday! Thank you.
The girls had a lot of fun. The description helped so we could give a hint or two.We embedded the game in an outdoor treasure hunt complete with a cryptex. Great Design and great riddles.
The Mad Hatter's Box - Alice in Wonderland Printable Escape Room
Great quality design - both aesthetically and the quality of puzzles. Used with our youth group (11-18s) and everyone had a lot of fun! I kept the envelopes so they had to come to me with the code they'd worked out, to avoid the risk of some just opening them all! Worked really well. Thanks so much.
I used this for a work group team building. It was both fun and just challenging enough to keep everyone engaged without making them walk away.
We had a great time in our family reunion doing this escape room. We printed off a few of them and put people in groups to race to the finish. There were people of all ages working together laughing and having fun working on the challenges together.
This was such a great activity for my daughter and her friends and it was actually pretty tough and we needed the clues for a couple of them. Graphics and storyline were excellent and everyone really liked it.
Unless I purchased for the wrong age group, it was far too difficult. Couldn't really get started, or even on to the other puzzles without looking at the answer first.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Deb — we’re truly sorry to hear this experience didn’t meet your expectations. We did reach out by email to better understand what happened and to offer support, a replacement, or suggestions for an easier game fit, but didn’t hear back.
Our escape rooms vary in challenge level, and some are indeed more advanced than others. We always want players to feel supported, so each kit includes step-by-step hints and full solutions, and as a small team of two, we are available if things feel overwhelming.
We stand by our games and customer care, so please know the offer for a replacement or tailored recommendation still stands. Just reach out to us anytime at contact@mysterylocks.com. We’d love to turn this around for you.
done for 6 girls aged 9. I added some games to access the puzzles and hide some in the room, to create a link between all.
