📜 STORY
On the busy streets in the heart of Hong Kong, Mr Chun Li’s "The Lucky Dragon" Restaurant is home to the best Asian food in the world. You work day and night to cook some of the most delicious meals, enjoyed by hundreds of hungry guests every day. One evening, Mr Li comes to you impatiently. One of Asia’s most pretentious food critics just booked a table in an hour, to write a review for his future new book. The problem? Mr Li won’t be there to help you. He needs to leave immediately to find a golden duck egg to top up his famous secret dish. He left so quickly that he forgot to offer you his secret recipe. Will you find the code to the safe where he keeps his recipe book and cook the dish in time? The critic is coming in just one hour! Be quick and may the Lucky Dragon be on your side!
⏳ GAMEPLAY
Our adventures are designed to offer 15-45 minutes of fun, based on players’ experience, skill, age and group size. For a longer experience, you can turn our games into treasure hunts by hiding the game materials around the play space and letting the players find them before starting the game or chapters.

Our recommended age is only a suggestion. Younger players may also join the fun, but with a bit of guidance from a supervisor.
👥 NUMBER OF PLAYERS
We designed the games for up to four players, but you can adapt them no matter the size of your group. Create smaller teams and print a set of game materials for each team. Add a bit of competition and let the best team escape before everyone else!
✂️ SET-UP & ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
To set-up the game, you need nothing more than paper, the provided PDF documents, a colour printer or printing service, and a pair of scissors. For all our games (except those in the KIDS section), a phone connected to the Internet is also required to check the final answer. You don’t need any locks, envelopes or special equipment. The person that sets-up the game can also join the fun!

Why we're obsessed with DIY Escape Rooms
We started making escape rooms for each other to play at home, and now we've designed over 100!
Before MysteryLocks was even an idea, we discovered escape room games in all possible formats. When we ran out of games to play, we started creating our own.
Solving escape room puzzles using things we found around the house, we had hours of fun! So we want you to feel the same thrill without leaving your home.

I never played a real Escape Room. Will I be able to play?
You don't need any prior experience to play an escape room at home.
Each game includes instructions and answer sheets, as well as an intuitive gameplay.
Do I need a game master to supervise the game?
All of our games have an intuitive, linear gameplay.
No master is needed to guide the game.
I have a large group I want to prepare the game for. How many can play the game at once?
What we love about our games is the versatility.
Have a large group? Split it into small teams (we suggest up to five, but it's totally up to you).
Print a set of materials for each group, and you're good to go!
If I set up the game, will it spoil the game for me?
Setting up the game does not spoil the game in any way!
Feel free to join the game, as you're in for some great fun!
I have locks, chests, and props on hand. Can I integrate them into the experience?
Adding extra layers of complexity is always a nice touch!
All our games allow adding props, numeric locks and chests.
But as all our games are designed to be self-contained, you don't need any additional props or equipment to play.
But if you have them, you can certainly use them to make the game more fun and exciting!
Do I need to use card stock for printing?
All our games are designed for regular printing paper.
Want to go the extra mile to create a higher quality experience? Printing on card stock definitely offer the games a great look and feel!
How do I download the game?
Right on the order completion page you receive the download links for the files instantly.
To keep them safe, a copy of the download links is also delivered to your email.
Does the game end after 60 minutes?
Unlike real-life escape rooms, printable escape rooms are not time-limited.
You can take as long as you need to complete the game.
This means you can play at your own pace, take breaks if you need to, and come back to the game whenever you're ready.
